Sine Direk at the UP Film Institute

Here’s the screening schedule of Sine Direk feature-length films at the UP Film Institute. Sine Direk is composed of six feature-length films and part of the fund raising efforts of the Nagkakaisang Manggagawa ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

JOEL LAMANGAN’S FUSCHIA

Mameng, an elderly woman causes a big scandal in a small community when she takes in her terminally ill husband who left her for 40years while still living with her current partner, her husband’s best friend. But even as gossip surrounds her, she begins to find the strength within herself to speak out against the town’s corrupt mayor.
