Windows 7 release date: 10/22/09

BBC reported a while ago that Microsoft has already announced Windows 7′s release date. “Windows 7, the next major release of the world’s most popular operating system, will be officially available to the public on 22 October.”

Microsoft release Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2)

The much awaited Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Vista is now available for download at the Microsoft website. The update (which also is packed in the same executable archive with the SP2 for Windows Server 2008) was made available for download to the public last May 25, 2009.

Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) available for download
