We will be twitting updates of progress of the fact finding mission and will be posting field videos as soon as our correspondents are able to send them. Follow us on twitter http://twitter.com/kodao or view the twitter updates directly from the Kodao website www.kodao.org.

Task Force Surigao “PAGBAWI SA KINABUHI, PAGBAWI SA YUTANG KABILIN” (Reclaiming our Lives, Reclaiming our Ancestral Lands) will start on August 28 and will culminate on September 1, 2009. The Task Force hopes to help in documenting the cases of human rights violations in Surigao Del Sur perpetrated by the 58th Infantry Battalion led by Col. Benjamin Pedralvez, and accompany the displaced Manobo people back to their communities to harvest their crops and retrieve other useful things from their homes.
