Hi po! Heto po ang isang bagong awitin and I hope you could support it by sharing, liking, and requesting it on the airwaves.

With only a few days to go before the start of the 2013 election campaign period, artists and musicians should take part and speak out. Create art that would criticize the system, propel and enlighten people to elect leaders that would truly represent the interest of the many. Leaders that would fight to change the system para sa ikabubuti at ikauunlad hindi ng iilan kundi ng mas maraming karaniwan.

Tulad ng isinisigaw ng title at koro ng awitin, hangad ng Pilipino ang ‘Pagbabago para sa karaniwang tao!’

Kapit-bisig sa pagbabago

“Kapit-bisig sa Pagbabago” is the official theme of Pagbabago’s People’s Criteria. Composed by Dreamworker Too, arranged by yours truly, and performed by Walkie Miraña, me, Dreamworker Too, and  Batang Thomas Tay.

A trailer version of the song was used for Kodao’s coverage video of the Philcoa street launching of People’s Criteria. Check it out and the lyrics after the jump.

Call him PAQ

Call him “PAQ”, with the letter “Q” pronounced as “K” and not what it should have sounded. Hehe!

Paquito or PAQ, is the satirical mascot of Pagbabago! People’s Movement for Change. Carol Araullo, Bayan Chairperson and convenor of Pagbabago! describes PAQ as “the amalgamation of all that the people find laughable, irritating and downright pathetic in Philippine traditional politics and the cast of characters it breeds.”

Watch out for more of Paquito in future activities that will be held by the group.  Paquito may even appear together with Juana Change according to the people behind PAQ’s comic act.

Pagbabago!

“PAGBABAGO! People’s Movement for Change” will have its founding assembly tommorow 1PM at the University of Makati. PAGBABAGO! is a new movement that gathers concerned citizens who desire meaningful change in our society.
