Dear Bonifacio (Song)

Dear Bonifacio

Dear Bonifacio is about hope in these trying times, and the commitment to do what is right and needed for a better nation. The song is a pledge to continue the Filipino’s unfinished struggle for real change, justice, prosperity and peace. A timely tribute for Supremo Andres Bonifacio’s 150th birthday!

Enjoy the music and thank you for your continued support!

DEAR BONIFACIO (LYRICS)
All rights reserved (c) 2013 KARL RAMIREZ

Oh Oh Woah Woah
Oh Oh Woah Woah
Oh Oh Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah

Kumusta na Supremo? Maari ba kayong makausap?
Kayrami mong dapat malaman, parang andami kong iuulat

Hangga’t kami’y nabubuhay ay gagawin naming panata
Handa kaming lumaban ipagtanggol ating bansa

Bonifacio

Oh Oh Woah Woah
Oh Oh Woah Woah
Oh Oh Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah

mapang-api at dayuhang nilalabanan nyo noon.

Hangga’t kami’y nabubuhay ay gagawin naming panata
Handa kaming lumaban ipagtanggol ating bansa

Bonifacio
Bonifacio Woah
Bonifacio Woah Woah
Bonifacio Woah Woah

(Counterpoint)
Dahil walang makapipigil
Sa ating dakilang mithiin
Posible ang pag-unlad
Kung sama-sama sa iisang hangad

Mabuhay ang
Mabuhay ang Himagsikan

Pagbabago Para sa Karaniwang Tao (Song)

Pagbabago Para sa Karaniwang Tao

Hi po! Heto po ang isang bagong awitin and I hope you could support it by sharing, liking, and requesting it on the airwaves.

With only a few days to go before the start of the 2013 election campaign period, artists and musicians should take part and speak out. Create art that would criticize the system, propel and enlighten people to elect leaders that would truly represent the interest of the many.

You can download your copy here.

Fight to be Free!

Musicians should be concerned with issues regarding the freedom to be creative and the freedom to express.

Fight to be free! Junk RA 10175!*

RA 10175 (The Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) poses serious threats to Internet freedom, the right to privacy and other essential civil liberties including the freedom of speech, expression, and the press. Read more and sign the petition chn.ge/QJZyzv

Call for unconditional release mark artist Ericson Acosta’s birthday

Last May 27, a year and three months after the illegal arrest of artist Ericson Acosta, family, friends and fellow artists mark his 40th birthday with a simple celebration of lugaw and the collective wish for his unconditional release from detention at the Calbayog provincial jail in Samar.

The fund raising activity was held at the UP Balay Kalinaw and was well participated with friends and celebrities taking turns in performing, giving updates on Ericson’s case, and serving lugaw to guests.

Serve the People: Lugawan para sa Kalayaan was organized by the Free Ericson Acosta Campaign (FEAC) in cooperation with the Samahan ng mga Ex-Detainees Laban sa Detensyon at Aresto (SELDA). They call for the general, unconditional, and omnibus release not only of Ericson Acosta but all political prisoners in the country.

#noynoying

The price hikes next week bring us ever closer to the highest ever price of P60 per liter recorded in 2008. And Malacanang is still not taking any decisive action to rein in oil prices and give the people relief … No wonder the term ‘noynoying’ has caught on. —Renato Reyes, Jr., BAYAN

Tumugon sa Hamon calls out to everyone to look at the plight of the country’s working people and listen to their stories, grief, hopes and dreams. Join them as they collectively struggle for meaningful wage and their basic labor rights, including better working conditions and the right to organize.

The song was written for the Church People and Workers’ Solidarity, a conference that aims to strengthen cooperation and solidarity between church communities and workers.

You can stream and download the song for free at Reverb Nation but if you want to support the music and this makabayang OPM artist contribute a bit via Paypal at the song’s BandCamp download.

The icon on the left by the way is a photo taken by Kodao Productions’ Raymund Villanueva. Salamat Bukaneg!
